Motorcyclist hospitalized following crash with pickup truck

On Behalf of | Sep 15, 2017 | Motorcycle Accident

A 37-year-old man from Kansas was injured recently in Ellsworth County after his motorcycle crashed with a pickup truck that was hauling a trailer. The accident occurred on Interstate 70 around 7 p.m. with the vehicles being in the right lane. It appears that the pickup truck with the trailer was braking and the motorcycle collided with the trailer. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet but he still needed to be hospitalized for the injuries he suffered.

Little else is known about this crash. Did the pickup truck stop unexpectedly? Was the driver of that vehicle, who was not harmed in the crash, aware of the motorcyclist behind him? Where there any other factors involved in this crash that we are unaware of at the moment?

The police will look into this crash and fulfil the investigation soon, but in the meantime, there are still plenty of questions. What is undeniable here is that a motorcyclist’s life may have changed forever due to a seemingly routine accident. The thing is, for motorcyclists, any accident is a serious and possibly life-changing event.

It is for this reason alone that motorcyclists need experienced motorcycle accident attorney on their side in the wake of an accident. If it is found that another driver involved in your crash was negligent or reckless in any way, then you could have a strong personal injury case to make in civil court. That lawsuit could earn you needed compensation to deal with the medical bills, trauma, and pain and suffering you have endured as a result of the crash.
